The web push channel is one of our fastest growing channels and today we're launching two updates that'll make it even easier to get started with web push and publish campaigns.
By default we show the snippet for your production environment. Selecting the Development tab will show the snippet for your development environment which allows you to test web push campaigns before publishing. The existing Avatars functionality is now on the third tab.
Restyled campaign creation interface
The second update we're launching is a restyled campaign creation interface that making it easier to create your web push messages.
Web push campaign creation before the change;
Web push campaign creation after the change;
- New alignment and preview panel - The new preview panel serves a dual purpose; firstly, it creates a natural alignment of the web form elements making form completion easier, secondly, the soft grey background uses contrast to more easily understand the dimensions of the web push.
- Simplified web push styling options - We heard your feedback and the new interface simplifies the styling options to just a customisable button colour and a light / dark toggle. If you need greater styling options than this, you can still create a custom notification.
- Easier to understand light / dark toggle - While we're talking about the light / dark toggle, the previous version had no selected state, making it impossible to know which option was selected. The new interface addresses this.
- Show on mobile tickbox - The last change to the interface is making the Show on mobile option a simple tickbox, rather than enabled / disabled as previous.
As an added benefit, any old Web Push campaigns will continue to work in the new interface, these updates are backwards compatible.
We hope you agree these updates will make it quicker and easier to get started and publish web push campaigns, but let us know what you think!
